Gijón once again experienced an unforgettable week of padel, with Ale Galán and Fede Chingotto as the undisputed protagonists. The pair delivered an outstanding tournament to lift the Gijón Premier Padel P2 title, defeating world number ones Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia by 7-5, 7-6. A victory that arrives at the perfect moment and serves as payback for what happened in Riyadh.
From the very first game, the Palacio de Deportes was buzzing, with more than 5,000 fans enjoying a final of the highest level. Galán once again showed why he is one of the most decisive players on tour, managing the tempo with power and precision. Next to him, Chingotto delivered a solid, structured and tactically brilliant performance, bringing balance and control at key moments. The combination worked to perfection and sealed a match that demanded total focus from start to finish.
Ari Sánchez shines in Gijón
The tournament brought us another reason to be proud. Ari Sánchez, together with Andrea Ustero, delivered a superb performance to reach the women’s final. They faced Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea in a marathon battle lasting more than three hours, where Ari once again showed character, consistency and elite competitiveness. She fell 6‑4, 6‑7, 6‑3, but made it clear she is ready to fight for everything this season.
Her ability to adjust, resist and raise her level when it matters most confirms the strong path she is building.

The Gijón Premier Padel P2 leaves us with huge momentum: Galán and Chingotto claimed a major title, proving they are ready to compete for everything in 2026, while Ari Sánchez reached another final, reaffirming herself as one of the most competitive players on the circuit.
